LEXINGTON, N.C. (MyFOX8) – An 18-year-old man is being charged with animal cruelty after deputies say he beat an animal to death and it was all caught on tape.

Authorities say 18-year-old William Luke McDowell was seen beating a domesticated duck to death with a baseball bat at a friend’s house.

According to MyFox8, the attack was caught on video by McDowell’s 16-year-old friend.

After seeing the video, officers immediately arrested McDowell and charged him with one count of animal cruelty.

His bond was set at $1,000.
